School Council
‘The Students’ Voice’

The school council is here to represent you and is your voice on issues that affect you across the school. We would like to hear from you about issues that you feel are important in school, whether it be the new school building, how we could improve the current building and playgrounds, house activities or which charities we should support.

Last year we were actively involved in helping the school achieve ‘Healthy Schools’ status, which included reviewing and launching the school’s anti-bullying policy. We currently lead the school’s recycling projects and have recently improved the school environment by purchasing new benches, outdoor table tennis tables, football goals and basketball posts. We have regular meetings with the canteen managers informing them of your concerns and have represented the SPHS student voice at local conferences and meetings.

If you wish to contact us, you can:

  • Speak to one of your year reps or any of the council members or Mr Humphreys (who meets with the school council every few weeks)
  • Write us a note and put it into our post box in the student reception.

With your help, we can carry on making the school a better place for all students to learn. Get involved – contact us and allow us to represent your views!
