Learning Environment
Stanley Park High School has had a locally and nationally recognised innovative curriculum that has inspired our students since 2000. This has specifically taken the form of considerable personalisation from year 9 and throughout key stage 4. Significantly this has enabled our students to study a range of subjects many of which have a vocational ‘work based’ focus. It therefore goes without saying that we value ‘knowing how to do things’ rather than just ‘knowing things’.
Since 2005 we have conducted much self-reflection with emphasis on the need for intervention in order to bring about significant change to our curriculum in the lower years of key stage 3, so that it provides an effective foundation for the excellence of our offer from year 9.
