Attendance

In order for students to make progress appropriate to their ability they are expected to attend school at least 95% of the time during the academic year.

  1. If your child has to be absent for any medical reasons such as appointments, the Form Tutor must be told in writing in advance.
  2. Absence through illness must be reported to the School Office by telephoning the dedicated absence line on the first day. The absence line number is 0208 254 7804. All absences must also be explained in a letter. Students that arrive late to school will be detained for 30 minutes on the day of lateness by a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
  3. Holiday leave in term time is at the discretion of the Headteacher. Requests should be made in writing using a form obtainable from the school office; however, such leave is discouraged. Leave will not be granted during the GCSE exams.

All students must report to the School Office if they have permission to leave the school site for any reason.
