Curriculum
Curriculum Structure
Our curriculum structure has undergone significant change in recent years and is now recognised both locally and nationally as transforming the learning experience of all our students. We are currently one of only four schools nationally, to hold Lead School Status in Human Scale Education. Students study in a variety of contexts, which cater for all abilities, from the point of entry into school. This ensures the effective learning of all students.
The total curriculum of the school comprises all those activities designed to promote the intellectual, personal, social and physical development of its students. It includes the informal programme of extra curricular activities and all those aspects designed to promote the ethos of the school as well as the formal curriculum of organised and scheduled lessons involving staff and students
Curriculum Philosophy
It is our philosophy that the school curriculum should promote the development of the whole child. Consequently the curriculum of Stanley Park High School has been designed to:
- Prepare our students for adult life
- Prepare our students to make a positive contribution to society and encompass good citizenship
- Prepare our students for the demands of the modern workplace
- Prepare our students for lifelong learning
