School Partners

The Sutton Training School Consortium consists of five High Schools in Sutton: Glenthorne High School, Greenshaw High School, Carshalton High School for Girls, Carshalton Boys Sports College and Stanley Park High School.

We aim to continue to be a centre of excellence for training by providing a consortium of support from initial teacher training to Headship training and MA courses. We are also pleased to be able to offer training for support staff.

The Training School concept is unique; its focus is on a creative approach to professional development for all staff at all stages of their career: collaborative learning through innovation. We have evidence of the benefits to all students and staff at the consortium and our partner schools.

We are committed to continuing our shared vision and look forward to transforming teaching and learning and sharing good practice across our network of partners for the benefit of Sutton students.

Stanley Park High School is very pleased to be a partner in the Consortium.

SWELTEC

The South London Teacher Education Consortium comprises the four Higher Education Institutions of St Mary’s University College, Kingston University, Brunel University and Roehampton University.

The purpose of SWELTEC is to help schools provide a common framework for school based training. The aim of all those working in the partnership, whatever their role, is that as they progress through the programme trainees will analyse and reflect upon their school experience.

Stanley Park High School is pleased to have been a partner school for the last ten years, working with the Consortium to provide PGCE school experience placements and liaising on joint projects.
